On May 4, Kilgore voters will choose who will occupy the Place #7 seat on the Kilgore College Board of Trustees: incumbent Janice Bagley or challenger Charles Robinson. Robinson is president of the Overton-New London Chamber of Commerce and also serves in leadership roles in several Kilgore groups. more
Robert Frost once said “Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.” Students from across East Texas put words to their emotions and pen to paper as they composed hundreds of poems and submitted them for a chance to be recognized for their literary prowess. Over 750 poems were submitted to the 2019 Northeast Texas Poetry in Schools contest but only 39 works were chosen to to receive awards. The winning selections were announced at a ceremony Tuesday, April 16 at the Region 7 Education Service Center. more
