2019’s Beta Sigma Phi Sweethearts


Stephanie Bozant

Stephanie Bozant was born to Glora and Dr. Pete Freeman in Fort Worth, Texas. She graduated from Northwest Academy High School in Houston. She married the love of her life, Donnie Bozant, in 1991 and moved to Kilgore in 1993. She is the mother of Adam Groce of Kilgore and Kimberly Bozant of Caddo Mills. Stephanie is a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren: Adam, Clare, Riley, Macrina, Alice, Genevieve and Avery.

She attended Kilgore College and graduated from LeTourneau University with a degree in Business. She worked for Bobby Bittick and State Farm Insurance for more than 20 years and is currently employed with LeTourneau University. Stephanie is an active member of First Baptist Church of Kilgore where she serves as the church clerk and sings in the Celebration Choir.

Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, reading and outdoor activities with her husband, Donnie. She credits him for showing her there are new adventures to be discovered everywhere.

She has served as secretary for Xi Alpha Delta Omega and is currently vice-president. Stephanie feels truly blessed and honored by her XADO sisters to be chosen as this year’s sweetheart.

Charlene Campbell

Charlene Campbell has been chosen as the 2019 sweetheart of Preceptor Lambda Delta. She currently serves as president and is a member of the B.P.S. City Council. During her 39 years membership in B.P.S., she has held numerous offices and served on a variety of committees.

She was born in Savannah, Georgia, and graduated from Avery High School in Avery, Texas. She received a Master of Science degree in speech pathology from Sam Houston State University and graduate work at SHSU and the University of Texas, majoring in educational psychology and reading specialist.

Mrs. Campbell served as a speech pathologist for Kilgore Independent School District, retiring in 2003. She taught 35 years, 21 of those in Kilgore ISD.

She and her husband, the late Jim Campbell, have one son, Taylor – he, his wife and three children live in Houston.

Lee’ah Joseph

Lee’ah Joseph is the current President of Beta Gamma Psi and is honored to be nominated as the chapter’s 2019 Sweetheart. Lee’ah grew up in Kilgore and graduated from Kilgore High School and Kilgore College. She married Kilgore native Mathew Joseph in 2011, and together they have three precious sons: Caleb, 7; Carter, 3; and Cohen, 2.

Lee’ah began her career in banking in 2006 and is now Treasury Management Officer and Assistant Vice President at Southside Bank in Longview where she helps commercial clients with their banking and cash management needs. She is an active member of the Longview Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Chamber’s R.E.A.C.H. team and is a graduate of the Chamber’s 2017-2018 Leadership Longview class. She is also an active member of the Business Networking International Game Changers and serves as the chapter’s Secretary/Treasurer.

Lee’ah pledged Beta Gamma Psi in 2017-2018 to be part of something that gives back to the community where she and her husband are raising their family … and to enjoy time with girlfriends.

Ursula Plaisance

Xi Pi Mu Sweetheart Ursula Plaisance joined the chapter in 2016. She has served as Corresponding Secretary and currently serves as co-chairman for Secret Sister and City Council Representative.

Ursula was born in New Orleans and raised in South Louisiana. She is the youngest of five children. After graduating from Morgan City High School, Ursula attended Nicholls State University and Kilgore College.
Married for 30 years to Dudley Plaisance, Jr., together they have two children, Courtney and Eric, and two precious grandsons, Alexander (Xander) and August.
Ursula’s career has been in the legal profession, Louisiana state politics, healthcare, public relations, marketing and serving her community, working with charities, non-profits and philanthropic organizations.

Currently she is the Executive Director of Helping Hands of Kilgore.

She is an active member of Pirtle United Methodist Church, where her husband has pastored since 2003. Ursula is also vice president of the Kilgore Lions Club and a member of Association of Fundraising Professionals East Texas Chapter.

In her spare time, Ursula enjoys traveling, shopping, movies, spending time with her two grandsons, friends and family and making a difference in someone’s life every day.
