Christus GSMC holds candelit vigil in honor of lost infants

Christus Good Shepherd will host a “Remembering Our Babies” event Oct. 15 in Longview.

The annual memorial features a 'Pregnancy and Infant Loss' candlelit vigil and balloon release.

The ceremony is set for 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday in the GSMC – Longview, Healing Garden inside the main hospital at 700 E. Marshall Ave.

The event is in honor of National Prematurity Awareness Day, Oct. 15.

"CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System will host this reflective event to aid in the remembrance and healing for families who have experienced this loss," the hospital announced. "The event is open to the community and/or anyone who has experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death."
