Memorial services for Cleo Vault, 87, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Victory Funeral Services Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Cleo was named Oliemay Webb at birth, but she later changed her name. She was born on Sunday, February 8, 1931 in Tyler to Henry and Annie Lee Carr Webb. She died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at her residence.
Early in life she united with and was baptized at El Bethel Baptist Church. As an adult, she united with Union Baptist Church on Bates Street in Kilgore and later with Macedonia Baptist Church in the Pentecost Addition, both now defunct churches.
She attended Jamestown Public Schools and graduated from Douglas High School.
The bulk of her working career was spent working at Roy H. Laird Memorial Hospital and Kilgore College, where she retired in the 1990s.
In the 1980s, she was married to the late Wilson Vault.
Her parents, son Ronald Webb, sisters Dezell Johnson, Christine Poole, Lessie Mae White, Evelena Wallace, Wilmer Lee Jackson, Verdell Webb and Thelma Williams all preceded her in death.
She leaves her memory to be cherished by her son, Donald Webb Sr. of Longview; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Trumble and her husband, Ralph of Houston, and a host of other relatives and friends.
