WEDNESDAY
KILGORE SENIOR CITIZENS club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the Lions Club Building at 307 Rusk St. All seniors 55 or older are eligible for membership.
THURSDAY
THE PRIMETIMERS, a senior adult choir of First Baptist Church of Kilgore, invites any senior adult who wants to sing Christian songs and enjoy fellowship, to join them on Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. in the choir room, located at the back of the church. The annual Danville Picnic will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29 under the Pavilion at Danville Cemetery. Guest speaker will be Reverend Dudley Plaiscance and entertainment by The Purple Hulls – Katy and Penny Clark. Please plan to attend.
SATURDAY
Longview Museum of Fine Arts will hold an open-to-the-public reception from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 8 to celebrate the opening of an exhibit of works by Kilgore artist Bill Phinnie. The late-painter’s artwork will be on display at the museum through Sept. 26. For more information, call 903-753-8103.

The 2017 East Texas Crusade for Christ is set at 7 p.m. nightly June 25-28 in Kilgore College’s Dodson Auditorium at 817 Nolen St. The four-day series, free and open-to-the-public, will feature videos of crusades by the Rev. LONDON MUSEUM tells the story of the 1937 school explosion that killed many students and teachers, wiping out a generation.
