Doyline was born on September 8, 1935, in Center to Doyle and Pauline Williams. She graduated from Center High School. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Education degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University. She married C.W. “Dusty” Rhodes in 1956 and they spent the next 57 years together until his passing. She taught 4th grade in Kilgore for 15 years until her retirement. She remained very active volunteering with KISD after she retired and especially when her grandchildren were attending school. Doyline was named First Lady of Kilgore in 1997. She volunteered for several organizations; however, ETCADA was very dear to her heart. Her generosity was shown by anonymously donating her time and resources to many worthy causes and people.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Alan Rhodes of Kerrville; granddaughters, Jennifer Stanley and husband Allan of Kilgore, Amy Warner and husband Scott of Kilgore; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Cooper Stanley, Jaxon and Harper Warner, all of Kilgore; siblings, Betty Graham and husband Don of Houston, Johnny Williams and wife Peggy of Center; sister-in-law, Pat Vaughn of Longview; daughter-in-law, Theresa Rhodes of Kilgore.
