As the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce and its partners continue to bolster their professional programming, they’re encouraging members to punch up their presentations with TED-tactics.
On Tuesday, Kilgore Economic Development Corporation is sponsoring a local installment of Dale Carnegie’s ‘Talk Like TED’ Workshop.
Spearheaded by Tyler-based Core Insights, the two-hour breakfast-event begins at 7:30 a.m. May 22 in KEDC’s Offices in Synergy Park, Suite 300 at 1001 Synergy Blvd.
According to the chamber, “TED Talks have become a cultural phenomenon in American society. But what separates the talks with 1,000 views from the ones with 100,000-plus views?”
An interesting title or topic is key, but the speaker’s delivery carries the greater weight.
“At this breakfast event, we will look at several practices that will make us more influential in our communication, whether we are in front of a TED audience or across the table from a single person.”
The workshop costs $49 per participant, and seating is limited – attendees are encouraged to register as soon as possible. For more information or to sign up for the event, log on to tinyurl.com/KilgoreTED.
