Isiah Waddle


Funeral services for Isiah Waddle, 91, of Fort Worth, will be held at noon Saturday, December 9, at Victory Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Prejean Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.

Isiah was born to Albert and Hannah Fields Waddle in Carthage on Monday, February 8, 1926 and died Tuesday, December 2, 2017 at Richland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Worth. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield until his health failed.

He received his education in the Panola County public schools.

After many years of employment as a long distance truck driver, he retired to continue working at Mansfield Independent School District in the transportation department before retiring permanently.

Preceding him in death are his wife, parents, sisters Nelva Waddle, Novella Waddle, LaVasta Waddle and Lorine Andrew Roberts, brothers Albert Waddle Jr., John Mitchell, James Andrew and Robert Andrew.

His many surviving nieces and nephews include Johnnie Roberts of Kilgore and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, December 8, from noon until 6 p.m. at Victory Funeral Services. There will be no wake.
