A memorial service for James “Jimmy” Clayton Young was held Thursday at Wilson-Orowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Mr. Young, 38, was from Alba and was killed April 29 in the Canton area in the tornado.
Mr. Young was born Aug. 4, 1978 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to James and Linda Young. He worked as a supervisor for Oldcastle Building Envelope in Terrell and raised and showed milking shorthorn heifers. He coached his nephew Clayton Wallace’s baseball team, the Lone Oak Buffaloes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Chris Wallace of Emory and nephew, Clayton and friends who were like family, Danny and Sherry Huddleston of Alba; as well as aunts Mary Hemminger of Newville, Pennsylvania, Sandy Morrison of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Uncle Robert Morrison of Shippingsburn, Pennsylvania.
