Kelly Mott age 84 went to sleep in Jesus’ arms on February 6, 2019. Kelly was born November 7, 1934 in Broaddus, TX. to K.P. and Irene Stringer Mott. He was a 1953 graduate of Broaddus High School. Kelly was a dispatcher for many years and loved it; but the greatest joy of his life was being a Bible Teacher. He served in every area of the church, always lifting Jesus up. When he was 50 years old, he married the love of his life Carol Anne Mott and they shared 33 wonderful years together. In the later years of his life Kelly had many heath issues. He was diagnosed with dementia in 2014 and in 2016 with Parkinson’s disease. He was cared for by his loving and devoted wife Carol Anne in their home. Kelly joined the Pentecostal church 3 years after Kelly and Carol married. He became a faithful prayer warrior and mighty man of God. Kelly’s hobby was building, and he became a master carpenter, building picnic tables and swings for his wife and children. Kelly was the only boy born in a family of 3 daughters. Kelly was a delight to others and loved by all who knew him, especially his grandchildren. They called him their PaPa and were heart broken when in later years his health started to decline. Kelly chose to be at home and he taken care of by his loving wife and best friend Carol and his beloved children Boyd Mott (Susie) and Vickie Mott Adcock (Jimmy), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. His step-children who loved him deeply, Kip Herriage(Cindy) Susan Cortes(Valdo) Marla Phillips(Mike) his sisters Pauline Wadsworth in Shreveport, LA. numerous, nieces and nephews and his precious bur baby Mindy Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents K.P. and Irene Mott Benefield, his beloved son James Kelly his sister Joy Fern Barron and Nadine Brienco. Kelly is walking the streets of gold with Jesus his Lord and Savior and he is totally healed now. Our hearts are broken, we just lost our precious husband, daddy, papa, brother, uncle, and friend but not for long, we shall see him again soon! Jesus is coming! Isaiah 40:31 Was is favorite verse. Kelly’s last words “Do not mourn for me; for today I’m in God’s Kingdom where there is no pain, no sickness and no death. I am Healed; my only prayer is that I will see you all one day on the other side of eternity in Heaven. My Savior Jesus Christ made the way for you to get there. Just open up your hearts, confess you sins, repent and let Jesus come into your hearts and you will see me again.”
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart, Texas.
