GOOD Friends, Great Friends, Best Friends – there’s a lot of happy updates coming out of the Facebook page for ‘Friendship Playground’ as the grassroots group of local professionals raises funds for an inclusive playscape at Harris Street Park.
FOR example, a pack of Kilgore Middle School students raised $800 for the project.

WE’RE pretty excited about Hungrytown’s visit to the Old Post Office this week. Fans of “Portlandia” (put a bird on it) might recognize the music, and you can easily find YouTube videos to whet your appetite for Saturday night’s free show.
FROM the good news / bad news file, it seems an “Impending Galactic Crash Could Rip Open the Black Hole at the Milky Way’s Center.” On the flipside, according to LiveScience, it’s a few billion years off and only a few stars in our neighborhood will be affected.
