The eighth grade boys at Kilgore Middle School won their district championship this season in style, without losing a single District 15-4A game (10-0). Coach Monty Miller (right) said although the program has won the district title since his tenure began there 16 years ago, this was the first time they'd done so without losing a district game. The team clinched the title with a win at Gladewater on Monday. It's also their second straight title as a team; they won district as seventh graders a year ago, and are the first team since seventh grade athletics began to do so. Miller's assistant coaches are Josh Riley, Victor Tuttle and Ron Cole. Congratulations, guys!
