KNH “ChitChat” writer Linda Ballard topped the semi-weekly division’s Column Writing category with two pieces – “Informative columns covering local topics,” according to judges – and local humorist Jase Graves earned 4th place with his entries. Reporter Lucas Strough’s behind-the-scenes photo at Texas Shakespeare Festival and Editor James Draper’s “Elfie” photo combined for the Feature Photography award.

The semi-weekly publication also netted third place in News Writing and in Sports Coverage. Additional awards included fourth place Sports Writing and a fourth place finish for Headline Writing.

Draper also earned third place Journalist of the Year in the semi-weekly division.
