Two weeks after the Rangerettes performed their final Revels performance, the Kilgore High School Hi-Steppers will take the Dodson Auditorium stage for their annual spring show.
The drill team’s two shows will be Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 23 at 2:30 p.m.
For this year’s show, the focus will be on the Hi-Steppers as the “The Main Event,” director Sara Nash said.
This year will be the first spring show helmed by Nash, who took over as director of the Hi-Steppers this year, replacing Coleen Clower who retired in May 2016 after 18 years as director.
Events from around the world will shape the first act of the show, while act two will look at the main events that shape the Hi-Steppers’ year.
In addition to the Hi-Steppers, two KHS dance department classes – one all-male class and one co-ed class – will perform on the stage. The young dancers in Kindergarten through eighth grade who participated in the Hi-Steppers dance camp will also perform their routines during the two shows.
Tickets to the show are $10 and will be sold at the door.
