The Smart Start Coalition will host a free community education event Thursday evening focused on 'Generation Rx' and developing safe medication practices for life.
The one-and-a-half-hour session in the Kilgore Middle School gym, open to the community, begins at 6 p.m. April 20 and includes free pizza for attendees as well as door prizes.
“Join us to hear the latest research and gain practical tips and resources on talking to your teens about the dangers of prescription drug abuse,” the Smart Start organizers announced.
Thursday's program will be presented by Dr. Brittany Parmentier of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Tyler.
