Patriotic Street Party on tap for July 21


The City of Kilgore’s Patriotic Street Party is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, in downtown Kilgore, featuring a wide variety of entertainment and activities: from ‘Blaze of Glory’ team challenges for area firefighters, to a patriotic bike parade and the American Fair Food Contest (free to participate, donations requested, in six categories – pies, cakes, cookies, jams/jellies, pickles and hot sauce/salsa).

There will be water activities throughout the day in downtown Kilgore, free mechanical bull rides, demonstrations by the service dogs of For Veterans Sake and featured speakers including Congressman Louie Gohmert, Kilgore City Council member and veteran Victor Boyd as well as veteran Monty Hutson of For Veterans Sake.
