SABINE ELEMENTARY RAISES OVER $13,000 IN JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
Jump Rope For Heart is an annual fundraising event held nationally, including at Sabine Elementary School, benefitting the American Heart Association. Second, third, fourth and fifth graders at SES raised a total of $13,260.50. Students attended a jump rope party last month under the direction of Jason Heffner and Ruthie Hardin. SES’s PTO provided healthy snacks and drinks. Door prizes were presented, as well, to participants. SES wants to thank local businesses Whataburger of Liberty City, All-American Auto Sales of Kilgore, the American Heart Association Longview chapter, Sonic of Liberty City, Kilgore College Fitness Center and Sabine Dairy Queen for donating prizes, and to Teri Bass, Judy Cottier and Misty Gee, and all PTO volunteers. Great job, kids!
