Seniors celebrate to St. Patrick's Day theme

President Sally Melton opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Ray Drost gave the prayer for the meeting and the meal.

Debbie Moore, secretary, read the minutes from the last meeting which were approved as read. Gloria Kennedy gave the treasury report. It was approved for audit.

Stella Morris, Sunshine Lady, sent cards for March birthdays to Joyce Riddles, Morris Kyser and Ginger Anglin.

This was our St Patrick’s Day Celebration! Bea Hampton was chosen as leprechaun for the day. Room was decorated in St Patrick’s Day theme.

Bingo was our entertainment for the month. Winners were Billy Brown, Reo Calender, Nita Collier, Ginger Anglin, Gloria Kennedy and Martha Smith.

Pizza was served for lunch with other side dishes and desserts. Billy Brown won the door prize.

Guest in attendance was Johnny Matlock. New member was Ruth Yielding.

There were 23 members in attendance: Ginger Anglin, Evelyn Banda, Sylvia Bennett, Billy Brown, Reo Calender, Nita Collier, Dave Connor, Eva Nell Drost, Ray Drost, Leona Halbert, Bea Hampton, Doris Hampton, Judy Irving, Cliff Kennedy, Gloria Kennedy, Jewel Matlock, Sally Melton, Debbie Moore, Stella Morris, Irene Reid, Joyce Riddles, Helen Sinclair and Martha Smith.

Everyone 55 and over is welcome to attend our meetings and enjoy the fellowship and entertainment. The next meeting will be March 22 at the Lions Club building, 307 N Rusk St. Meetings start at 11:15 a.m. with a short business meeting then bingo or guest entertainment at 11:30. Dinner is at noon and adjournment at 1 p.m.
